Job Designer
Job Designer is a core module of Metalife2004 application by Metalife AG. The purpose of Job Designer is to provide a nice user interface to biological algorithms running as an Unix command line apps. It also automates the execution of algorithm sequence making it transparent for the user. The module uses XML configuration files that contain all the information for the creation of the user interface and algorithm relations logic.
Descriptive tooltips popup on component focus or mouse over. The input of the numeric fields is controlled to fit the allowed parameter range.
Dedicated menus appear on each algorithm window. Users can choose predefined input and output connections to another algorithms.
Annotation functionality offers a set of algorithms needed to create a full record of a given sequence. A list of algorithms is available for each sequence property.
